The purpose

A fairer chance to be healthy.

Hyunjin founded Lumina Health with a goal of health equality: helping more people access the resources and knowledge they need to stay well.

Her experiences living in Vietnam, Malaysia, Hungary, and Korea give the initiative a personal starting point. Lumina brings that international background together with a growing interest in public health and biology.

The work starts with the school-based Light for Hope campaign. The next steps focus on hygiene support in communities connected to her experience, and on making biology learning more accessible to students.

Following through on fundraising

The campaign archive includes a donation accounting record. Keeping track of money is part of building the trust that a student initiative needs to continue.

Bringing people, science, and service together.

Hyunjin's interests meet at public health: how biology connects to daily life, how resources reach people, and how students can contribute to a fairer chance to be healthy.

Founding Lumina gives those interests a direction. Her goal is to continue Light for Hope, develop hygiene support for communities connected to her life, and advocate for biology learning opportunities for students.

Ongoing field experience

Alongside the initiative, Hyunjin is gaining part-time experience at a Korean medicine clinic and Baskin Robbins. These settings offer different opportunities to observe people, routines, and care.
